Summary.
As
Pam Allyn, an American literacy expert put it, "Reading is like breathing
in, and writing is like breathing out." My opinions on using social media
have radically changed as a result of the considerable time I have invested in
learning new things from my teacher. Being unaware of the usefulness of ICT, I
initially thought that using social media was a waste of time. After studying
the theory, I did put the information to use.
I kept a blog with five images
along with some of the values associated with education. I snapped the photo
while I was having some downtime.
Firstly, an aged
Hungrel dzong which is located at Paro valley near Six senses resorts at Chibjakja
village. The second picture is of age-old artifacts which include 4 artifacts (stone
grinding machines, wood-made rice pounding machines, kerosene, pine wood
lighting, and traditional oil extraction) that I have used in my village when
the electricity was not there. Thirdly, the stage of the lovely PPeachtreenear
Manjushri Hall. At the Paro College of Education, this exquisite peach tree
can be found adjacent to Manjushri Hall 1. The first image was captured on
March 3๐ , the second with a flower on March๐ธ, and the third
with foliage on April 18๐ฟ. On
May 5, the last picture of the fruit was captured๐. I only took this picture
to observe the Peach tree's cycle. Fourthly, you can see the picture of a Tiger's nest.
My goal to visit Taktsang Monastery, also known as Taktsang Palphug Monastery,
was accomplished. It was worth visiting. I fervently wished to be reborn in a
country like Bhutan, where dharma is completely practiced. Fifthly, you can see
the picture of Pelela Pass. This is the picture that I have taken during
my trip to Bumthang during my first year.
I have also inserted one
of the excursion videos on the Taktsang trip which
describes the importance of visiting the temple. If you click on the video
you will find the most interesting fact about the wonders of Bhutan. In
addition, I've provided a reflection paper on one of Mr. Tshewang Dorji's
articles, "Integration of ICT in Bhutanese Schools: Common Obstacles and
the Way Forward."
I have also uploaded
five reflection papers on different types of ICT educational tools. It will talk about the importance of the integration of
tools in the teaching and learning field.
Lastly, a critical analysis of my learning experience walks
about the simulation. I have written about how this tool has impacted me. You will
also find how I am going to integrate this tool into my teaching.
Finally, after assigning the task, I shifted from novice
shutterbug to avid shooter, which allows me to flex my creative muscle when
taking pictures. I have learned some of
the camera features and explored video recording features as well. I have also had the opportunity to visit various
places and explore. The experiences that I acquired from the session would help
me down the road. Not only the blog but with this knowledge, I have just
started creating reels on Instagram and gained a lot more likes and comments
than before.
I
would undoubtedly lack the essence of ICT in my life if the ICT session had not
taken place. I want to express my sincere gratitude for helping us transition
from being digital immigrants to being digital natives. The time I invested was
worthwhile, and keeping the blog alive piqued my interest.
THANK YOU!
